Apple invented a laptop concept that reimagines the keyboard

This figure shows the different areas that might be able to sense a force touch.

This image appears to depict the "micro-perforations" that could form the border of certain keys or buttons.

This kind of force touch would allow the trackpad to be as big as an entire keyboard.

And number crunchers might be able to have a number pad on the laptop's palm rest.
